Alabaster - Shelby County Airport - 21A

Runway 15-33 Extension and Associated Taxiways

Aviation Alliance Inc. was responsible for location and design of a new airfield electrical vault, power service, vault equipment, all new homerun circuitry to the airfield facilities, new rotating beacon and tower, installation of City-purchased primary wind cone, and relocation of suitable existing equipment from the existing equipment rooms in the terminal building to be demolished. Aviation Alliance provided several junction can plazas for the homerun circuits which greatly increases safety during electrical maintenance. Construction support services were also provided.

Airfield electrical design included new ALSF-2 light stations replaced to accommodate reconstruction of the runway blast pad pavement.
